Charles "Eddie" Williams

Charles “Eddie” Williams, 90 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Steve Karraker officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Eddie was the owner and operator of Williams Lawn and Garden, a member of Metropolis Church of Christ and a United States Army veteran.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Williams; one daughter, Karen Williams Eleam; one grandson, William Eleam; two brothers, Wayman Williams and Stanley Williams (Sherry); several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lurlean (Henderson) Williams; two sons, Gary Williams and Keith Williams; and one brother, Randy Williams.
