Carolyn Childs

Carolyn Childs, age 60 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri formerly of rural Karnak, Illinois passed away at 5:33 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the St. Francis Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois with Pastor Frank Forthman Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery.

Carolyn attended the Frist General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jerald Long; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James N. and Sharon M. (Ross) Harber; 1st husband, Franklin Childs; grandparents, Elmer and Margie Ross, Jacob and Mamie Harber; brothers, Jimmy Harber and Larry Harber.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.
