Betty L. (Dills) Sharp

Betty L. (Dills) Sharp, age 89 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 4:45 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother is going to be sorely missed.

Betty is survived by her son, Paul Sharp and wife Kathy; daughter-in-law, Linda Sharp; four grandsons, Brandon Sharp, Justin Sharp, David Sharp, and Edward Sharp; seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Alex, Alica, Sierra, Noah, and Henry; one sister, Geneva Romeos; several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dollie (Fleming) Dills; husband of 71 years, George E. Sharp; son, Alan L. Sharp; sisters, Ellen Pankey, Dorothy Shaw, Margie Pyle, and Delores Claus.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Sharp, Brandon Sharp, David Sharp, Cole Donahoo, Jacob Sharp, and Aaron Schell.

Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to American Cancer Society, 1 E. Wacker Drive, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60601-1851.
