Betty Anne (Sielbeck) Brewer

Betty Anne Brewer, age 78 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 10:52 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Betty was born on June 4, 1945, the daughter of Raymond and Pauline Sielbeck. She married the love of her life, Robert Brewer on January 26, 1963.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Hillerman Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Hottel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Betty was a life long member of Hillerman Baptist Church and the Metropolis Garden Club. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always helping others. She is going to be deeply missed.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Brewer; son, Brian Brewer; daughter, Beth Korte and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Dustin Korte (Chanler), Dalton Korte (Sarah), and Chase Korte (Maci); two great grandchildren, Ty Korte and Lila Grace Korte; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Sielbeck; and sister, Carol Sue Miller.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 12 noon until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Hillerman Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Korte, Dalton Korte, Chase Korte, Chuck Korte, Charles Johnson and Jerry Barnett.
