Barbara G. (Huckleberry) Christian

Barbara Huckleberry Christian, 77 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at her residence with her daughter by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Dr. Micah Spicer officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m.

Barbara was a nurse’s assistant for Dr. Oliver for over 30 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Metropolis and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and cooking. In her younger years, she was a groupie for the Oak Ridge Boys. What she loved most though, was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Christian and husband Larry; grandchildren, Austin Godfrey (Breanna), Carson Godfrey, Dalton Godfrey (Hannah), and Kalli Chapman; great grandchildren, William Godfrey, Theodore Godfrey, Scarlett Godfrey, Emery Chapman, Jaxon Chapman; brother, Ronnie Huckleberry (Rhonda); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Phyllis (Morris) Huckleberry and one brother, Stephen Huckleberry.
