Barbara Bard Obituary
Barbara Bard 75 of Metropolis, passed away December 9, 2017 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Everett Shaw and Mary Shinn officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF cemetery in Metropolis.
Barbara is survived by seven children: Debbie Flannagan of Paducah, Joseph Bard and wife Gail of Joppa, IL, Mary Shinn and husband Stanley of Metropolis, Michael Cathey of Grahamville, KY, Penny Poole and husband Frank of Tunnel Hill, IL, Peggy Harris and husband Tony of Metropolis, and Arthur (B.J.) Kenney III and Tonia of Brookport, IL, 16 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by one brother John Eickleberry of Metropolis, and one sister Mary Turner of Metropolis as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Clyde Brown and step mother Pauline Brown, her mother Rhoda Eickleberry, one daughter Tammy Bard, one sister Peggy Corzine, one brother Herbert Brown, one granddaughter Megan Nicole Gibson, one grandson Noah Scott Lang, and one son-in-law Clifford (Gene) Flannagan.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
