Allen Werner Giltner

Allen W. Giltner, age 83 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 3:41 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Pastor Harvey Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.

Allen was a retired farmer and attended Brookport Church of God for many years.

Allen is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda (Austin) Giltner; son, DeWayne Giltner and wife Donna; daughter, Lorie (Giltner) Harmon; grandchildren, Shannon Carrigan and husband Bryan, Nicole Giltner, Austin Harmon, and John David Giltner; great granddaughter, Jadyn Carrigan; brother, Steve “Skeeter” Giltner and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” and Timea Giltner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Carrigan, Austin Harmon, John David Giltner, Mike Powell, Jeff Oliver, and Dylan Oliver.

Honorary pallbearer will be Brett Campbell.

Memorials may be made in Allen’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
