Alan Dale Young

Alan Dale Young, age 73 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:38 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joey Dunning officiating.

Alan was a member of First Methodist Church.

Alan is survived by his brother, Paul Kelly Young and wife Judy; nephew and niece, Paul David Young and wife Rebecca and Kelley Ann Young; great nephew, and great nieces, Bryce Johnson and wife Kayley, Cara Isabel Young and Emily Paige Young; great great nephews, Bryley Johnson and Bronx Johnson; and many friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Brasher and Dorothy L. (Sielbeck) Young; grandparents, Willie G. and Alice (Melcher) Sielbeck and Ellis and Mattie (Allgood) Young.

Memorials may be made in Alan’s name to Easterseals of Western Kentucky, 1908 N. 14th Street, Paducah, Kentucky 42001.
