Alan L Sharp

Alan L. Sharp, age 70 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 12:43 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Strong officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Alan was retired from retail sales, of the Baptist faith, loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and was a member of the Massac County Historical Society.

Alan is survived by his mother, Betty L. (Dills) Sharp; wife of 20 years, Linda (Ruoff) Sharp; sons, David Gavin Sharp and Edward Alan Sharp and wife Samantha; grandchildren, Alyssa Sharp, Sierra Sharp, Noah Sharp, and Henry Sharp; brother, Paul Sharp and wife Kathy; several nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his father, George E. Sharp.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 11 am until 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
