Yolonda Pittman, 32 of Metropolis passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday July 28, 2016 with her daughter by her side. Affectionately called "Yo-Yo", she was born in Marion, Illinois on July 8, 1984 to Sandra Griffin and Steve Pittman. She was raised in Metropolis and lived here her whole life. She worked as a personal assistant for 13 years helping people in need. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. She would lend a hand to anyone in need and she loved whole-heartedly. She was a loving mother to her beautiful daughter, Zoey Marie Lee. She devoted her life to provide the best that she could for her daughter. Yolonda is survived by her mother, Sandra Griffin of Metropolis, her father, Steve Pittman of Paducah, KY, her sisters, Crystal Taylor and Toni Walters one brother, Allen Leffingwell, her daughter, Zoey Marie Lee, and many nieces and nephews all of Metropolis. There will be a memorial service for her on August 13, 2016 from 11am-2pm at Community of Christ Church 1309 Commericial Park Rd. Metropolis, IL 62960.Bring your best memory of "Yo-Yo" with you.
