Wilma Heflin 78, of Metropolis went to be with the lord on Saturday, February 1st, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Brenda Rust officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Heflin was of the Pentecostal faith.Wilma is survived by her husband of 11 years, Leonard Heflin of Metropolis; 7 children, Patsy Griffith of Paducah, KY, Marilyn Kasmatka of North West, Indiana, Rebecca Contracter and companion Bridget Matherne of Metropolis, Rhonda Sullivan of Metropolis, Nick Heflin and wife Connie of Alabama, Jeff Heflin of Metropolis, and Steve Heflin of Nashville, TN; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Beverly Herter, Mary Smith, and Faye; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Cordeleia (Bogges) Cole; 1st husband, Sammy Mounce; 1 infant daughter, Rosemary Mounce; 1 sister, Hazel Conley; 2 brothers, James Cole and Nathaniel Cole; numerous other family and friends.Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
