Mr. William J. (Bill) Eutsler, age 89, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Anna, IL, and Brookport, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL, with Pastor Steve Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Mr. Eutsler was recently of Morningside of Paducah and formerly resided at Jackson Oaks in Paducah. Bill graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School in 1945, then started in the electrical field. He joined IBEW Local 702 on October 18, 1947, and remained a member for over 65 years. Mr. Eutsler was a charter member of Anna Heights Baptist Church in Anna, IL and a longtime member of Brookport First Baptist Church in Brookport, IL. He was a Free Mason and a member of the New Liberty Lodge. Bill enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, and dancing.Bill is survived by three children, Kenneth Eutsler and wife Wanda of Burns, TN, John H. Eutsler and wife Peggy of Rock Hill, SC, and Meri Curtis and husband Kenneth of Smithland, KY; eight grandchildren, Christopher Eutsler and wife Stormy of Burns, TN, Richard Eutsler and wife Rebecca of Bon Aqua, TN, Daniel Eutsler and wife Kathleen of Dickson, TN, Heath Eutsler and wife Heather of Huntersville, NC, Heather Wernet and husband Todd of Charleston, SC, Kara Robinson and husband Adam of Paducah, KY, Kimberly Williford and husband Jarrod of Oklahoma City, OK, and Billy Crabtree of Herrin, IL; 15 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Etta Mae (Walker) Eutsler; wife of over 54 years, Dorothy; one son, James Crabtree; one brother, Frank Howard Eutsler.Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday May 2 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
