Mr. William "Bill" Dummitt Sr., of Joppa, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his residence.A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Joppa City Hall.Bill is survived by 2 daughters, Dandi Burgess and husband Matt of Metropolis and Amy Tate of Colorado; grandson, Dylan Dummitt; granddaughter, Courtney Burgess; also grandchildren, Harley Brown, Chelsie Hill, and Reno Brown; and sister, Mary Potts of Raceland, KY.He is preceded by his parents, James and Stella (Lucas) Dummitt; 1 daughter, Leah Marie Dummitt; 1 son, William "Billy" Dummitt Jr., and 3 brothers, Joseph, James and John Dummitt.Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
