William "Bill" Bickham, age 79 of Brookport, Illinois passed away peacefully at 3:50 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating.

Bill retried from Union Carbide as a machinist after 48 years. He was of Christian faith and what many would consider a "fighter". Bill was a cancer survivor of Leukemia in 1980 and survivor of respiratory failure in 2023. He enjoyed cooking but his passion was restoring antique tractors.

Bill is survived by his son, Kent Bickham of Brookport; daughter, Angela Bickham; brother, Wayne Bickham Jr. and wife Vivian of Little River, TX; and two nephews, Wayne Bickham III and Tony Bickham.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Marjorie (Vance) Bickham; and wife of 34 years, Joyce (Heberer) Bickham.

There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
