Wendell Bremer age 77 of Metropolis, IL passed away Sept. 30, 2014 at his home.Private family graveside and burial services will be Friday Oct. 3, 2014, with Rev. Tom Emmerson officiating, with burial in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.He is survived by his wife Jean, Two daughters, Holly Browning and husband Keith of Metropolis, IL, Susan Zacheretti and husband David of Paducah, KY. One sister, Mary Ann Bremer of Metropolis, IL; Six grandchildren, James Horman, Jacob Horman, Stephen Horman, Matthew Horman, Levi Harris, and Noah Harris. Two great grandchildren Emma Horman and soon to arrive Elizabeth Horman. One niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Lora (Logeman) Bremer, 1 sister, Leona Bremer, 6 brothers, Paul, Otis, Raymond, Omer, Herschel (Bully), and Lindell Bremer.He served in the U.S. army and was of the Lutheran faith. Memorials may be given to the Charity of your choice.There will be no visitation, family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.Miller Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
