Wanda Faye Mizell, age 72 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 11:59 pm on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Christ Community Church, 8270 Old Hinkleville Road, West Paducah, KY with Pastor Tim L. Turner and Rev. Larry Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Wanda had worked at Western Baptist Hospital, Park Plaza Motel, Gentry Motor Co., and Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. She was a member of Christ Community Church.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Mizell of Metropolis, IL; son, Mark Mizell and wife Kym of Paducah, KY; granddaughter, Averi Grace Mizell of Paducah, KY; siblings, Jimmy Gentry and wife Susan of Paducah, KY, Benny Gentry and wife Sandra of Metropolis, IL, Linda Howard and husband Jimmy of Metropolis, IL, Jerry Gentry and wife Connie of Metropolis, IL, Tommy Gentry and wife Gaee of Metropolis, IL, Sharon Gentry of Metropolis, IL; sister-in-law, Terri Gentry of Flowery Branch, GA; three aunts; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Thelma Gentry; brother, Jackie Gentry.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening June 15, 2018 from 6 to 8pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis and on Saturday, June 16 from 9am until the funeral hour at Christ Community Church in West Paducah, KY.

Pallbearers will be Brett Gentry, Brian Gentry, Jonathan Howard, Jared Gentry, Will Clanton, Bob Gentry, David Mizell, and Jeff Spore.
