Mrs. Wanda Elliott, age 79, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 4:16 a.m. on Wednesday, January 07, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and worked at the Good Luck Glove Factory for many years.Wanda is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Jenkins and husband Larry of Metropolis; son, Kenneth Beard and wife Donna of Metropolis; 4 stepchildren; 5 grandchildren, LeeAnn LaBelle, McKenzi Beard, Rachel Beggs, Stacey Nourie and Lyndsey Sparks all of Metropolis; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; special family members, Jeanie Anderson of Joppa, Mary Lou Nelson of Metropolis, and Edna McNeely of Grantsburg, IL; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Carriel and Faye (Stafford) Nelson; husband, Roscoe Elliott; and 2 stepchildren.Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chance LaBelle, Keith Nelson, Dwight Beggs, Mitchell Beggs, Daniel Nelson, and Jesse Nelson
