Virginia H. Neely age 92 of brookport, IL passed away Thursday Sept. 1, 2016 at her home. She was born June 24, 1924 to Carey and Mamie (Sutton) Bradley, who preceded her in death. Funeral service will be Sunday Sept. 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Russell officiating, burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Virginia is survived by 3 daughters, Debbie and (Mark) English of Metropolis, IL, Brenda Pegram of Brookport, IL and Sheila and (Dathel) Davidson of Bridgeport, IL. One son Leonard and (Paula) Neely of Brookport. Seven grandchildren; Gregory Neely (Carrie), Lenna Kennedy (Jason), Bradley Pegram, Jennifer Miller (Jason), Jared English (Afton), Derek Davidson (Liz) and Kristi Pegram. 12 great grandchildren. One sister, Lucy Settlemyre of Maryville, TN.Two brothers, C.L. Bradley of Wilmont, NC Jimmy Bradley of Cashiers, NC. Several Nieces and nephews. Besides her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband Harlan, Son in law, Fleetwood Pegram, Three sisters, Frances Buchanan, JoAnn Nations, and Dorothy Verbarg; Four brothers, Watzel, Kenneth, Paul (Bud), and Bobby Bradley. She was a member of Waldo Baptist Church, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend, and she was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and had a passion for cooking.
