Virginia Hall Huss, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab in Calvert City, KY. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis, IL. Dr. Joe Buchanan will officiate. Burial will follow. Ms. Huss was retired from Iron Workers Local 112 in East Peoria, IL. She lived for many years in Pekin, IL, before returning to Metropolis in 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis. Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Don Crowe of Metropolis; sister, Linda Hall Chapman of Marion, IL; grandson, Roy W. Huss of Metropolis; four granddaughters, Jennifer Yates and husband Jeff of Peoria, IL, Stephanie Grand of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Lara Hallman and husband Sean of Broken Arrow, OK and Amy Adams of Pekin, IL; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Huss; two infant sons, Gary and Warren; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Margie Hall; parents, Ben and Helen Davis Hall. There will be no visitation. Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL is in charge of arrangements.
