Virgil Wayne "Junior" Elam, age 66 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 7:25 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his residence.Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis. Rev. Jake Ervin will officiate.Junior was a member of the Weaver Creek Baptist Church.Junior is survived by his mother, Frances Elam; 2 sisters, Joyce Barnhill and husband Marvin and Kathy Hankins and husband Larry all of Metropolis, IL; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, several great nieces and great nephews.Junior was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Elam and 1 brother, Michael Eugene Elam.There will not be any visitation.
