Tommy Stoner, age 55 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Memorial services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Joppa Baptist Church. Rev. David Wright will officiate. Burial will be held later in the Liberty Ridge Cemetery.Tommy was of the Baptist faith, had worked on a Tow Boat, and in the construction industry. Tommy is survived by 3 daughters, Kristy Stoner of Marion, KY, Emily Stoner of Joppa, IL, Bella Stoner of Metropolis, IL; 2 sons, Michael Stoner of Marion, KY and Ethan Stoner of Murphysboro, IL; 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Betty Johnson and husband Hucky and Patricia Sexton and husband Devin both of Metropolis, IL; 3 brothers, Robert Lee Stoner Jr., Johnny Stoner and wife D'Ann, and Danny Stoner and wife Bettie all of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Lottie (Davis) Stoner Sr. and 1 brother, Charles Ray Stoner.Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 12 pm to 1 pm at the Joppa Baptist Church.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4503 W.
