Mr. Timothy Todd Winding, age 50, of Mermet, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2014 in Kansas City, MO.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January, 6, 2015, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial will follow in the Winding Family Cemetery.Tim was a member of the IL State Police Dive Team, the Millwright/Carpentry Local 640 out of St. Louis, MO, and a farmer in the Mermet community. Tim is survived by his parents, James Lowell Jr. and Pansy Winding of Olmsted, IL and Janice Hemphill of Dongola, IL; companion, Vanessa Winding; his son's mother, Latricia Ellis; 2 sons, Dustin Todd Winding and wife Adreanne and Justin Lynn Ellis; 2 brothers, Scott Lowell Winding and companion Paula Sue Graham of Metropolis, IL and Jeffery Morris Winding and companion Diane Reinier of Golconda, IL; 3 sisters, Carol Hopkins of Anna, IL, Tammy Wilson and husband Tadge of Grand Chain, IL and Stacy Parrett and husband Brian of Karnak, IL; sister-in-law Michelle Winding; 4 nieces, Candi Winding Coder and husband Zack, Niki Winding, Leslie Winding, and Rowen Parrett; 3 nephews, Zack Winding, Chance Light, and Mason Parrett; 1 grandson, Wesley Ellis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Lowell Sr. and Loraine Winding; maternal grandparents, Vernon Morris "Sam" and Hazel Lauderdale; and special great uncle and aunt, Henry and Marguerite Schmidt.
