Mr. Timothy Edward Sims, age 63, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7th, 2017, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. Sammy Hunter will officiate. Timothy is survived by his sons, Timothy E. Sims II and wife Angel and Ennis L. Sims; three grandchildren, Timothy M. Sims, Eyvonne M. Sims, and Bennet Patton; two sisters, Vernetta Garmon and husband Delvon and Valerie Sims; three brothers, Thomas E. Sims, Johnny Darrell Sims, and Derrick Sims. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Maisie Sims; wife, Francis "Frankie" Sims; one grandchild, DeAngelo L. Sims; and one brother, Larry Dennis Sims.
