Timothy Steven Collie, age 66, originally from Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on October 5, 2015.Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois. Pastor Yong Lee will officiate. Private family burial with military rites will be held at a later date.Tim, retired after 35 years of service as an engineer with Caterpillar Inc., was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War, where he received the Purple Heart. He attended the Korean Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois.Tim is survived by his wife, Mun Ye Collie; 4 children, Sabrina Phillips, Tanya de Vulpillieres, Timothy L. Collie, and Melissa Reid; 6 grandchildren; 4 siblings, Vicki Gillespie, Barbara Joos, Kevin Collie, and Kim Collie; 8 nieces and nephews.Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Maxine (Laird) Collie.Visitation will be held on Friday evening October 9, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com
