Ted Luebshaw, age 60 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 12:20 pm on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Ted was retired from the City of Metropolis, had previously worked at Linwood Motors, Metropolis Drugs I, and Metro Limo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis, and the Massac Gun and Bow Club, where he served as Secretary/Treasurer.Ted is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen Luebshaw of Metropolis, IL; daughter, Dr. Jessica Anderson and husband Dr. Christopher Anderson of Washington, IL; sister, Vera Paull Huntsinger and husband Daniel of Gastonia, NC; nieces and nephews, Tasha and Autumn Swenney both of Metropolis, IL, Davin Lammey of Hernando, MS, and Kara Faust and husband Keith of Gastonia, NC; 3 great nephews and 1 great niece; cousin, James Estes and wife Marita of Metropolis, ILTed was preceded in death by his parents, Jewett Luebshaw and Millissia Estes; brother, Charles Alan Luebshaw.Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.Memorials may be made to The Oral Cancer Foundation, 3419 Via Lido #205, Newport Beach, CA 92663 or oralcancerfoundation.org/support-ocf/donations.phpOnline condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com
