Stephen D. Krueger, age 64, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 1:40 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Krueger officiating.

Mr. Krueger was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Zion United Church of Christ. Stephen was an avid pool player and was a member of the APA.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Shannon Dassing and husband Jeffrey; three grandchildren, Logan, Mackenzie and Chloe Dassing; two sisters, Alma Creekmur and Barb Lindsey; two brothers, Loren E. Krueger and Ronnie Krueger; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, "Tootsie".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Edna Mae (Schmidt) Krueger.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
