Stanley Eugene Oliver, age 67 of Golconda, Illinois, passed away Wednesday July 22, 2026 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Seven-Mile Cemetery.

Stanley was a retired Truck Driver for Yellow Trucking and he was of Baptist Faith. Stanley was a lover of guns and music; he was an avid collector of both guns and guitars. He loved spending time with his beloved dogs and friends, especially his good friend, Carl Burnham.

Stanley is survived by his stepfather, William Carrell; stepbrothers, Gary Carrell and wife Mary, Tom Carrell and wife Becky; nephew, Mason Riepe and wife Susan; brother-in-law, Keith Loven.

Stanley is preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Oliver; mother, Eddie Joan (Staton) Carrell; sister, Debbie Loven.
