Stanley Eugene Johnson, age 89 of Joppa, Illinois passed away on February 28, 2019 at the Continue Care Hospital in Paducah, KY.  Stanley was born February 12,1930 to Clay and Truda Modglin Johnson.

Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Aikins-Famer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Ambus Bradley Jr. officiating.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Johnson; sons, Charles Johnson and wife Linda, and Eric Cockrel; daughter, Carrie Holzer and husband Chad; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; niece, Claydene Becker; nephew, Bill Rankin; special brother-in-law, Kenny Beard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John; sisters Esther Johnson, Louise Boyle, and Dorothy Rankin.

He was retired from E.E.I. as a Control Operator, and was a Marine veteran serving during the Korean War.  His Life was dedicated to his family and he loved the outdoors and doing mechanic work. He was of the Baptist faith.

Memorials may be given in Stanley's name to the Autism Society of Southern IL, P.O. Box 2621, Carbondale, IL  62901.

Friends may pay their respect on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Aikins-Farmer- Loftus-McManus Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until the service at 6 pm.
