Sonya K. Schneider, age 63 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 1:55 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Corey Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Sonya was of the Baptist Faith. Sonya is survived by a daughter, Ashley Brown and husband Markus of Metropolis; sons, Corey Johnston and wife Andrea of Collinsville, IL, and Tim Arnold and wife Amy of Brighton, IL ,grandchildren Nickayly, Dathan, Dorian, Kaylor, Gus, Sam, Emma, and Josiah; brothers, Robert V. Schneider of Metropolis, IL and Danny A. Schneider and wife Ann of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews. Sonya was preceded in death by her parents, Robert S. and Alma Irene (Henson) Schneider.
