Mr. Skyler Lee Atkinson, age 35, of Sammamish, WA, formerly of Metropolis, died at 12:22 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA due to a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Chris Sielbeck officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Skyler was an US Air Force and Army veteran serving in the Iraq war. He was a CNC Machinist for 5 years.

Skyler is survived by his father, Luckie Atkinson and wife AnnMarie; mother, Kerry Rutherford; dog, Maynard; one sister, Emily-Anne Stephens and husband Ryan; two brothers, Cody Atkinson and Travis Phillips; grandmother, Mary Atkinson; four nephews, Wesley Atkinson, Maxximus Atkinson, Lincoln Stephens and Beau Stephens; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Norma and Noble Shinn; two grandfathers, Robert Atkinson and Lee Williams; one great aunt, Patricia Daniel; one cousin, Sabrina Dawn Atkinson.

Visitation will be held from 10am until the funeral at 12 noon on Saturday, June 30th at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
