Mrs. Shirley (Cox) Harris, age 77 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 2:15 am on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Baptist Health Paducah.Private family services will be held.Shirley was of the Baptist Faith.She is survived by 2 brothers, Jim Cox and wife Stella of Reevesville, IL and Joel "J.E." Cox and wife Jackie of Dixon Springs, IL; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Verba (Parks) Cox; husband William Paul Harris; 2 sisters, Alberta Sorenson and Geraldine Cox; 4 brothers, Wayne Lewis Cox, Fred Cox, Kenneth Ray Cox, and Tom Cox.There will not be any visitation. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
