Sharon Rhea Conley, 76 of Metropolis, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Southgate Healthcare Center.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Richelle Harper and Clay Cissell officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Sharon worked for many years at Laidlaw Corp., then went to work at Harrah's in a supervisor role until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. Sharon was a kind and selfless person, always willing to help someone in need and didn't have an enemy. What she loved most though, was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Sharon is survived by her children, Todd Ray Faulkner and wife Kim, James Michael Faulkner, Gary Ray Faulkner, Jr., Kerri Renee Bagwell and husband Billy; three grandchildren, Kirsten Simpson (Thomas), Garrett Bagwell, and Jalyn Faulkner; sister, Cindy Cissell (Richard); nephew and niece, Clay Cissell (Amber) and Richelle Harper (Steve); great nieces and nephews, Bailey Cissell, Jacob Harper, Austin Harper, Brady Cissell, Brooke Cissell and Ryan Harper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Beryl (Rickman) Ennis; son, Jeffrey Ray Faulkner; and husband of almost 35 years, James "Jim" Conley.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
