Mr. Scott Huss, age 65, of Metropolis, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at his home.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Pastor Gary DeRossett officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Scott was the pastor of Single Tree Church in Brookport. He loved Jesus Christ and studied to become an ordained minister after he retired from EEI. Scott is survived by his wife, June; two sons, Ben Huss and wife Katrina of Symsonia, KY and Jeremy Huss and wife Kim of Paducah, KY; one stepson, Michael Newbold and family of Metropolis; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Huss, Kassy Huss, Savanna Trovillion, Lauren Huss, Madyson Huss, Jonathan Huss, Amilia Huss, and Kaysen Huss; one sister, Carolyn Bunting and husband Rollie; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Huss and Ruby Watts Shelton; 1st wife, Norma Jean Huss.Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Victory Assembly Worship Center 1345 N.
