Sarah Ellis, 48 of Brookport, IL, formerly of Quincy, IL, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 4:00 p.m.

Sarah worked for DORS as a home health aide. She loved music and enjoyed singing karaoke. She was a pet lover and rescuer but the most important thing to her was her family and friends. Sarah loved fiercely and although many were not by blood, she considered those she knew as "family" and is going to be deeply missed by them all.

Sarah is survived by her mother, Connie Williams; husband of 25 years, Shawn Ellis; children, Dalton Ellis and wife Sierra, Maddi Evans and husband Jonathan, and Lucas Ellis; one brother, Jesse Williams; sisters-in-law, Lisa Miller, Ann Bowen, Lorie Frese (Dan), and Pam Johnson (Eric); nieces and nephews, Christina, Dustin, Jeffrey, Jennifer, David, Ashley, Alexis, Amber, Elisa, Andrew, Kaitlynn, Tommy, Bailey, Corey, Faris, Zeke and Tripp.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Williams; grandparents, Henry and Rollie Peters; and mother-in-law, Glenna Summers.
