Mrs. Sara "Sue" Fletcher, age 83 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 6:49 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois. Rev. Mike Hardison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery.Sue was a member of Community Christian Church in Metropolis, and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she was the longest standing member in Massac County.Sue is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Fletcher of Metropolis, IL; daughter, Deidra Jacobs and husband John of Metropolis, IL; son, Stephen Fletcher and wife Merlina of Metropolis, IL; 7 grandchildren, Erica Rosas and husband Ed of Pensacola, FL, Mickey Jacobs and Chelsea of Metropolis, IL, Jacolyn Jacobs of Chattanooga, TN, Summer LeClaire and husband Johan of Paducah, KY, Matt Armstrong and wife Brittany of Orlando, FL, Jared Armstrong and wife Leslie of Metropolis, IL, and Blair Armstrong and wife Candace of Metropolis, IL; 4 great grandchildren, Izabella and Elliana LeClaire both of Paducah, KY, Wilke Armstrong, and Carson Jacobs both of Metropolis, IL; 2 brothers, John Rice and wife Sue of St. Peters, MO and Jerry Rice of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.
