Ms. Ruth Lorene Miller, age 88 of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away at 8:30 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Lower Salem Cemetery in Massac County, Illinois. Rev. Louis W. Brinker will officiate.Ms. Miller had worked as a cook at Veaches and was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis.She is survived by one daughter, Janice Sumner and Larry of Metropolis; One son Herman Fulgham and Carolyn of Metropolis; Five grandchildren; Stacey Watson, Brandi Stratemeyer and Jonathan Fulgham all of Metropolis; Lori Elliott of Booneville, IN; and Donna Smith of Chandler, IN; 9 great grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Louie and Pearl Little and stepfather Clifford Little. One son R.D. Powell; one sister Judy Little and two brothers Al Little and Bub Little; one nephew.
