Ruby Belle Alley, 92, died on Friday, February 11, 2022. Ruby was born on August 25, 1929 in Golconda, Illinois. She was the daughter of Roy William Alley and Ethel Belle Ramsey.

Ruby came with the rest of her family to Rockford, Illinois in the mid-1940's. After graduating from West High School, Ruby got a job with the Amerock Corporation, where she worked until her retirement. Although she never married, she always regarded her nieces and nephews as her "children".  Ruby loved playing Bingo as much as she could with family and friends, cheering on her Cubs, traveling and spending a lot of time with nature, filling her birdfeeders and gardening. Ruby always had a twinkle in her eye, a magical laugh, a great sense of humor but always keeping the Lord close to her heart.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Otis Maurice Alley, Freeman Alley, Charles Wayne Alley and James Leon Alley; and four sisters, Margie Lucille Alley Kluge, Freida Helen Alley Barger, Cleotis Imogene "Genie" Alley Threlkeld, and Roy Evelyn Alley Leonard.

Ruby is survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a big thanks to angels Helen, Melinda, Sarah, Christopher, Kim and Darlene at Misty Meadows of Metropolis for all the love and special care they gave Ruby.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Easton officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Golconda Cemetery.
