Roger L. Henderson, age 71 of Samoth, IL passed away at 2:57 am on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating.

Roger was the former owner of Roger's Tree Service and of the Christian Faith.

Roger is survived by his wife, January Henderson of Samoth; daughter, Mary Jo Etherton of Metropolis; sons, Frank Lavern Henderson of Metropolis, Kevin Henderson of Vienna, and Steven Lavern Henderson of Vienna; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; step children, Christy Dawn Nance of Manford, OK and Mistie LaDawn Williams of Metropolis; sisters, Ina Mae Lindsey of New Columbia and Reba Dvorak of Streamwood, IL; brother, Orval Henderson of Samoth; several nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Franklin and Helen Margaret (Staton) Henderson; brother, Everett Henderson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
