IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robin D.
Teitloff
April 27, 1936 – March 12, 2022
Robin D. Teitloff left for his heavenly home on Saturday, March 12, 2022 where his body and hearing were fully restored and he could hear the blessed sounds of Angels singing.
Born April 27, 1936, Robin lost his hearing at the age of 3. He attended the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, IL where he excelled in sports, especially his beloved football. He married LaDonna Marie Saylor Reed on June 1, 1979 and became an instant loving father to her three boys, Bobby, Van and Tommy. Robin spent his career at Florsheim Shoe Factory from which he retired. He was funny, quick-witted, and loved to tease others to bring a smile to their face. He devoured college football games on television and loved to take the boys fishing. He loved his grandchildren most of all.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 42 years, LaDonna Teitloff; his sons, Bobby Reed, Van Reed, and Tom Reed and wife April; grandchildren, Sydney Reed, Tristen Reed, Terrin Reed, Emily Reed, Lane Reed, and Tyler Reed; his sister, Celeste Valentine and husband Frank of Evans, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Teitloff and Alice Teitloff McCool; sisters, Neda Natta, Melva Rodenhouser, Bertha Jo Goines, and Pat Teitloff; and brothers, John Teitloff and Ruben Teitloff.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Deem officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Robin's name to the IL School for the Deaf, 125 Webster Avenue, Jacksonville, IL 62650. Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tristen Reed, Terrin Reed, Lane Reed and Tyler Reed.
