Mr. Robert "Sonny" Wilson Jr., age 43, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his residence.A memorial gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Metropolis.Sonny had a love for the guitar, drums and music, fishing and hunting. He also had a love for photography in which he had a business. He enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains, which is where his ashes will be scattered. Sonny was a 1989 graduate of MCHS and was employed with the City of Metropolis for over 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith.Sonny is survived by his mother, Linda Wilson of Metropolis; 4 sisters, Kandi Corzine and husband Dwayne of Perry, OK, Joni Wilson Bradbury and husband Eric of Barlow, KY, Bobbi Wrinkle and husband David of Paducah, and Diane Cohoon of Metropolis; and eight nieces and nephews, Stacy, Stephanie, Laken, Dallas, Grace, Brady, Gage and Kane.He was preceded in death by his father Robert "Bob" Wilson Sr.Expressions of Sympathy may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital P.O.
