Robert Gene Watts, age 63 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 6:35 pm on Monday, December 7, 2015 at his residence.Memorial services will be held at a later date.Robert was a retired plumber and roofer. He was an avid fisherman and a veteran of the US Marines Corps serving during the Vietnam Era.Robert is survived by his longtime companion of 18 years, Angie Hayes of Metropolis; 2 daughters, Shannon Feierday and husband Mike, Laura Watts both of Loves Park, IL; 2 sons, Gary Watts and wife Mandy of Loves Park, IL, Justin Watts of Metropolis; 4 grandchildren, Damian and Kyleigh Feierday, Gadje and Katelin Strong; 1 step grandson, Christopher Hayes; 3 step children, Christopher Glover of Rockford, IL, Sarah Hayes of Metropolis, Lindsey Throw of AR; 3 sisters, Barbara Sweeney, Frances Sweeney, Brenda Anderson and husband Chuck; 1 brother, Donald Watts; several nieces and nephews.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Jean Ann Baker Watts; brother, Gary Watts.
