Mr. Robert Reeves Suttles, age 77, of Brookport, IL, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior at 6:52 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Funeral services will immediately follow Masonic rites and boilermaker services starting at 1pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Rev. David Siere officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Suttles was retired from Boilermaker's Local 40 in Elizabethtown, KY and a member of the Brookport First Baptist Church. Robert was an avid car enthusiast and took his restored cars all over the US. He was a member of the Masonic Bay City Lodge #771 and an Air Force Veteran. Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra (Souders) Suttles of Brookport; one daughter, Robin (Suttles) Woods and husband Bill of Paducah, KY; one son, Scott Suttles and wife Christy of Wickliffe, KY; five grandchildren, Emily Morehead and husband Cody, Audrey Woods-Nee and husband Philip, Marshall Suttles, Joshua Suttles, and Liberty Suttles; two great grandchildren, Maddox Reeves Morehead and Mason Ryan Morehead; sister, Sandra Hutchison and husband Odie of Brookport; one half sister, Jean Taylor of Mayfield, KY; six nephews, Tracy Suttles, Boyd Suttles, Odie Wayne Hutchison, Hunter Ryan, Ben Suttles, Wesley Suttles; two nieces, Ashley Hutchison Sledd and Elly Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wesley and Eudella Suttles; one brother, Howard Suttles and wife Verlee; an infant brother, Herbert Wayne Suttles; two nieces, Tina Ann Rice and Deanna Ryan. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 1pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.
