Mr. Robert Polen, age 74, of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Burlington, IA, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Polen was a bookkeeper. Robert is survived by sons, Jeffrey Polen and wife Cherie and Kevin Polen and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Kelly, Kirsten, Abigail, and Thomas; brother, Jim Polen; one niece; and companion, Sherry Parmely. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Doris Polen and wives, Michelle Polen and Euline Polen. Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
