Mr. Robert Moreland, age 69 of Metropolis, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating. Robert is survived by his companion, Roberta Likes; one daughter, Lola Dotie; two sons, Robert Moreland and Patrick Moreland; eight grandchildren, Sabrina and Beulah Doyle; Andy Nickie and Cathrine Moreland and Emma, Madison and Hope Moreland; two sisters, Joyce Perry and Brenda Thornberry; six brothers, Steve Moreland, Jimmy Moreland, Ronnie Moreland, Terry Moreland, Carl Moreland, Ralph Moreland; nieces and nephew, Heather, Brittiny, Alisha, and Rayan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wanda Moreland; one brother, Johnny Moreland; two sisters, Pat Williams and Lillie Houston. Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
