Mr. Robert Oakley Harmon, age 56, of Brookport, IL passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home with Bro. David LeNeave will officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamletsburg Cemetery.Mr. Harmon worked as a field technician for Whayne Caterpillar in Paducah. Robert is survived by his son, Austin Harmon of Brookport; daughter, Robin Hiett of Brookport; 4 brothers, Billy Harmon and wife Connie of Smithland, KY, Bill Harmon and wife Barbara of Louisiana, Mike Harmon of Ohio and Robert Harmon of California;2 sisters, Susan Busch and husband Paul of Reidland, KY and Carolyn Murray and husband Paul of Mississippi; 4 grandchildren, Xavier Bollinger, Clayton Bollinger, Katie Harmon and Seth Travesty; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harmon and Mary Mardell Simpson.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home.
