Robert "Bob" Dove, 64, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bob had previously worked for Barry Dummitt and Heartland Tree Service before running his own tree cutting service for the past 16 years. He played basketball and baseball all through his school years, and was a very dedicated Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He was a wonderful man who took care of his family and will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife and companion of the past 20 years, Teresa (Cochran) Dove; children, Nikolaus Patrick Dove, Kevin McBride, Megan Turvold, Brittney Cullison, Nicholas Turvold and Nathan Cullison; 18 grandchildren; three brothers, Archie Dove (Elaine), Jerry Dove, and Ray Dove (Kimberly); one sister, Pam Miller (Matt); many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Dove; mother, Joan Kompier; and one brother, Stewart Dove.
