Mr. Richard R. Burton, age 65, of Joppa, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home. A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Joppa Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Wright officiating. Mr. Burton was a member of the Joppa Missionary Baptist Church, a pro fisherman who loved to fish and a chef. Richard is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Varvel; seven children, Brandon Burton, Bobby Burton, Rick Manzuk, Mariesa Burton, Chelsea Martin, Dien Martin, and Natasha Burton; four grandchildren, Amiara Konrath, Angelina Mansuk, Raquel Mansuk, and Savannah Mansuk; two sisters, Nancy Burton, and Cindy Hyzy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are incomplete with Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
