Ms. Rebecca Coiley, age 93, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on June 29, 2015 at Baptist Health of Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the First Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Orlando McReynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery.Rebecca worked at the Massac County Probation Office until retirement. She was also a past president of the women's AGLOW prayer group in Chicago, IL, and enjoyed reading her Bible, spreading the gospel, and gardening. Rebecca is survived by three children, Brenda Carter of Metropolis, Alonzo Lee Coiley and wife Nancy of Waupaca, WI, and Keith Coiley and wife Linda of West Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Louise Brewer of Park Forrest, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lou Ethel (Jordan) Smith; daughter, Sherri Denise Coiley; six sisters, Elizabeth Shelton, Etta Mae Smith, Genie Brooks, Dorothy Mae Roberts, Opal Smith and infant Smith; five brothers, Lovell Smith, Lorenzo Smith, Harrison Smith, Dr. William Lloyd Smith, and Rev. Lafayette Smith; and one son-in-law, Rev. Alton Carter.Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the First Missionary Baptist Church.
