Ray Jones, age 74, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Jones was a mechanic, member of Temple Hill Church and an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era. Ray is survived by two sisters, Carol Parr and husband Jerry of Temple Hill, IL and Dian Obermark and husband Wayne of Metropolis; one brother, Stephen Jones and wife Kathy of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nellie Mae (Elam) Jones; one brother, Bobby Jones.
