Quincy Bayless Bohannon 92, of Brookport, IL died Friday, January 22, 2016 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Metropolis. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Brookport Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery in Brookport. Bayless worked for the Hudson Oil Company, working as an attendant at the Hudson station in Brookport until it closed and then moved to a Paducah, KY station until his retirement. He gave his life to Christ as a young man at Azotus Baptist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Carmen Sharp of Arkansas and Alberta Thompson of Metropolis; four nephews and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bohannon; parents, Quincy and True Bohannon; one brother, Thomas Bohannon; and two nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2016 at the Brookport Funeral Home.
